Herbal and Organic Conditioners

Conditioners should do more than detangle. When you shampoo your hair, you're actually removing the elements that create a barrier between the environment and styling damage. In other words, you're removing build-up and residues.

Contrary to popular belief, build-up and residues aren't necessarily bad. In fact, we often encourage them. If you use moisturizers, gels or oils on a regular basis, you're relying on what is left behind in these products to protect, define or enhance your hairs' appearance and condition. It's only when beneficial residues (vs. bads ones which are horrible all day, every day) build-up on our hair that we have to take steps to remove them and thus, we shampoo. But shampoos (namely those containing harsh sulfates) can go too far.

If you're using over-the-counter shampoos, you may actually end up stripping your hair...robbing it of beneficial oils which ultimately leads to dryness, brittleness and susceptibility to breakage. Thus, a good conditioner should seal in moisture. It should contain ingredients such as proteins that strengthen hair and aid in cuticle repair. It should also soften and detangle. These conditioners do just that.
